Dear Parents and Community Members:
The Office of Curriculum and Instruction is dedicated to the development and continuous improvement of Pre-K through Grade 12 curriculum across all subject areas. Our mission is to ensure a rich, rigorous, and coherent educational experience for every student by promoting consistency in instructional programs across schools and grade levels.
We are committed to aligning our curriculum and assessments with the high standards set by our district and the State. Through ongoing collaboration and reflection, we strive to meet the evolving academic demands placed on our students. We are proud of the progress we have made and the quality of work produced by our educators and staff.
Preparing students for college, careers, and life beyond the classroom is at the heart of our work. Our curriculum emphasizes inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and innovation—skills essential for success in today’s dynamic world. We support our educators through comprehensive professional development and evidence-based instructional practices that empower them to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Professional learning is an integral part of our approach. Teachers engage in regular collaborative sessions—before, during, and after school—to reflect on instructional strategies, share best practices, and analyze student learning. Our assessment program includes both formative and summative measures administered throughout the year, providing valuable insights into student progress.
These assessments inform instructional decisions and help tailor support to each student’s needs. We encourage parents and guardians to review assessment results with their children and maintain open communication with teachers to support academic growth.
We look forward to a successful school year and invite you to reach out with any questions regarding curriculum and instruction.
